And the time of high contrasts both visual and otherwise is among us. While searching around online, I found this lovely image, and it really does sum up how winter feels to me. Structural, silent, and oddly peaceful. Winter is one of those seasons that reminds us about our frailty, and also about how much the environment can awe us. Its a time for inwardness and hibernation. A time for exploring quiet scenes and baring witness to your surroundings in their most naked construction.
I’m looking forward to a black and white season, wrapped in warm coats.
