Here’s another entry into the good space usage file I keep in my head. Normal Projects worked on a small Manhattan studio and turned it into a real functional living space by basically making an extreme murphy bed. I’ve always loved the idea of a murphy bed, mainly because I’m not big on making my bed. But also because they make sense. A bed is something you use only part of the day, so why give it so much permanent room? I myself have been thinking of ways to turn a simple bedroom into a more bed / living room area, and something like this is a decent solution.
Plus this goes back to my original thought pattern of how much room does one person really need? According to these guys…not that much!
